Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which is the removal of the gallbladder as a treatment for gallstones and gallbladder disease, is a great example of minimally invasive surgery.  Since the development of this procedure in 1988, it became the goal standard for surgery of the gallbladder.

As opposed to open cholecystectomy, it is an outpatient surgery; patients are able to be discharged home the same day with minimal amount of pain and discomfort, and return to work few days after the operation.

Dr. Suede is highly skilled in performing this advanced surgical procedure, with great success and excellent outcome.
